Galaxy Tab 10.1 is a little bit better than Acer Iconia A3, with a score of 58.1 against 55.2. Galaxy Tab 10.1 is a incredibly older and a little heavier tablet than Acer Iconia A3, but Samsung managed to make it somewhat thinner anyway. Both tablets in this review use Android operating system, but the Galaxy Tab 10.1 has older 4.0.4 version while Acer Iconia A3 has Android 4.2 version.
The Acer Iconia A3 has a bit sharper screen than Galaxy Tab 10.1. Both have the same exact 800 x 1280 pixels resolution, a same size display and a better pixels count in each screen inch. Acer Iconia A3 counts with a quite better hardware performance than Galaxy Tab 10.1, because it has an additional graphics processor and a greater number of faster cores.
The Galaxy Tab 10.1 counts with a little bit more memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Acer Iconia A3, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 32 GB internal memory capacity. Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 captures better pictures and videos than Acer Iconia A3, although it has a worse 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality and a much less MP camera in the back.
Galaxy Tab 10.1 has a much better battery life than Acer Iconia A3, because it has a 92% greater battery capacity.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Acer Iconia A3, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Acer Iconia A3. If you want to save some dollars, you can get the Acer Iconia A3, letting go a few specs and features, but you'll get the most with your savings.
