Comparison review
The Galaxy Tab Active is much better than Acer Iconia A3, having a 67 score against 55.2. The Galaxy Tab Active construction is newer, a lot lighter and a little thinner than Acer Iconia A3. Both of these tablets include Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy Tab Active has a more recent 4.4 version while Acer Iconia A3 has Android 4.2 version.
Acer Iconia A3 features a little more vivid display than Galaxy Tab Active, because although it has a quite lower pixels density, and they both have exactly the same 800 x 1280 pixels resolution, the Acer Iconia A3 also counts with a larger display. The Galaxy Tab Active has a little bit more storage for games and applications than Acer Iconia A3, and although they both have equal internal storage capacity, the Galaxy Tab Active also has an external memory card slot that allows up to 64 GB.
Acer Iconia A3 and Samsung Galaxy Tab Active both have really similar processors, and although the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has a better graphics co-processor and a greater amount of RAM memory, they both have a Quad-Core CPU. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active counts with longer battery lifetime than Acer Iconia A3, because it has 4450mAh of battery capacity.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active takes just a bit better photos and videos than Acer Iconia A3, although it has a camera in the back with a much lower resolution and a much lower 1280x720 (HD) video quality.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active is a lot more expensive than Acer Iconia A3, but you can get a much better tablet for that few more dollars.
