Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has a general score of 60.1, which is a bit better than the Acer Iconia A3's general score of 55.2. Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0's design is incredibly thinner and lighter than the Acer Iconia A3. Both devices in this review come with Android operating system, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has the newer 5.0 version and Acer Iconia A3 has Android 4.2.

The Acer Iconia A3 features just a bit better screen than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because although it has a bit lower screen pixels density, it also counts with a bigger screen and a little higher 800 x 1280 pixels resolution. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has a quite bigger storage capacity to store more apps and games than Acer Iconia A3, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage capacity, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 also has a slot for SD memory cards that admits a maximum of 128 GB.

Acer Iconia A3 features a bit superior CPU than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, it also counts with 3 more processing cores and an additional graphics processing unit. The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 counts with superior battery lifetime than Acer Iconia A3, because it has a 19% larger battery size.

The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 captures a little bit better photos and videos than Acer Iconia A3. Both have the same video frame rate, a back facing camera with a 5 megapixels resolution and the same video quality.

In addition to being the best tablet in our comparison, the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 is also a bargain compared to the other ones.
