Comparison review
The Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 has an overall score of 62.3, which is much better than the Acer Iconia One 8's overall score of 53.7. Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8's body is a bit lighter and incredibly thinner than Acer Iconia One 8. Both of these tablets come with Android OS, but Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 has an older 4.4 version and Acer Iconia One 8 has Android 5.1 Lollipop version.
The Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 counts with a much sharper display than Acer Iconia One 8, and although they both have a display of the same size, the Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 also has a lot higher resolution of 1920 x 1200 and a better count of pixels per inch of display. Acer Iconia One 8 has a way bigger storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8. Both of them have exactly the same internal memory capacity.
The Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 has a quite superior hardware performance than Acer Iconia One 8, because it has an additional graphics processor, a greater number of cores and a greater amount of RAM memory. Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8's camera is just as good as the Acer Iconia One 8 one, both have a 5 megapixels resolution back-facing camera.
Acer Iconia One 8 features a bit better battery life than Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8, because it has a 13% more battery size.
Although Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Acer Iconia One 8, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Acer Iconia One 8. If you want to save a few dollars, you can get Acer Iconia One 8, giving up some specs and features, but you'll get the most with your savings.
