Comparison review

Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) is much better than the Acer Iconia One 8, getting a 61.4 score against 53.7. Both of these tablets work with Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has older 4.1 version while Acer Iconia One 8 has Android 5.1 Lollipop version. Despite being the best we are comparing, the Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) body is noticeably older, just a bit thicker and notably heavier than Acer Iconia One 8.

The Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) and Acer Iconia One 8 feature extremely similar screens, because although the Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has a just a bit inferior amount of pixels per inch of screen, and they both have an equal 800 x 1280 resolution, it also counts with a bigger screen. Acer Iconia One 8 features a little better performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), and although they both have the same RAM amount, the Acer Iconia One 8 also has a larger number of cores (and faster).

Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) features a slightly better camera than Acer Iconia One 8, although it has a back-facing camera with a way lower resolution. Acer Iconia One 8 features a lot bigger storage to store more apps and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because it has a slot for external memory cards that supports up to 128 GB and 16 GB internal storage capacity.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) counts with a very superior battery performance than Acer Iconia One 8, because it has 7000mAh of battery capacity.

Although Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Acer Iconia One 8, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Acer Iconia One 8. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can get Acer Iconia One 8, giving up a couple features, but you will get the most with your money.
