Microsoft Surface Pro 2 works with Windows 8.1 Pro OS, while Acer Iconia Tab 8 works with Android 4.4 OS.

Acer Iconia Tab 8 has a more vivid display than Microsoft Surface Pro 2, because although it has a lot smaller screen, it also counts with a bit higher 1920 x 1200px resolution and a greater pixels density.
