Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is much better than Acer Iconia Tab A510, having a general score of 62.7 against 55.4. Galaxy Tab 2 10.1's design is thinner and lighter than the Acer Iconia Tab A510, even though both of them were only released 7 months apart. Both of these devices include the same Android 4.0 OS, so you shouldn't notice any differences regarding operating system features.
Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 counts with a screen that's just as good as Acer Iconia Tab A510's screen, both have the same exact 800 x 1280 resolution, a screen of the same size and the same pixels density. Acer Iconia Tab A510 features a much bigger storage to install applications and games than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, because although it has a SD memory slot that supports 32 GB smaller, it also counts with 32 GB internal memory.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 features a bit better processing unit than Acer Iconia Tab A510, because although it has lesser CPU cores (although they are faster), and they both have the same RAM memory amount, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 also counts with an additional GPU. Although Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Acer Iconia Tab A510, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Acer Iconia Tab A510. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can buy Acer Iconia Tab A510, letting go a couple features, but you'll get the most out of your savings.
