Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) is better than the Acer Iconia Tab A510, getting a 61.4 score against 55.4. Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1)'s body is somewhat lighter and thinner than the Acer Iconia Tab A510, even though both were released with only 1 months difference. Both of these devices have Android OS, but the Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has a newer 4.1 version while Acer Iconia Tab A510 has Android 4.0.
Acer Iconia Tab A510 has a little better hardware performance than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), and although they both have 1 GB of RAM, the Acer Iconia Tab A510 also has more CPU cores. The Acer Iconia Tab A510 features a little sharper display than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1). Both have the same resolution of 800 x 1280px, a same size screen and the same pixel density.

Although Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Acer Iconia Tab A510, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Acer Iconia Tab A510. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), otherwise you can save some money and buy the Acer Iconia Tab A510, letting go a couple specifications.
