Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus has a global score of 60.8, which is a bit better than Acer Iconia Tab A510's general score of 55.4. Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus's body is much lighter and a little thinner than Acer Iconia Tab A510, even though both of them were only released 6 months apart. Both tablets in this review come with Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus has newer 4.1.2 version while Acer Iconia Tab A510 has Android 4.0 version, so it provides you some additional features and performance tweaks.

Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus has a little sharper screen than Acer Iconia Tab A510, because although it has a much lower 600 x 1024px resolution and a way smaller display, it also counts with a quite higher display density. Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus counts with a bit bigger storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Acer Iconia Tab A510, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory capacity, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus also has an external memory card slot that supports a maximum of 64 GB.

Acer Iconia Tab A510 has a bit more powerful processing unit than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, and although they both have the same RAM memory amount, the Acer Iconia Tab A510 also has more CPU cores. Acer Iconia Tab A510 features a superior battery life than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, because it has a 9800mAh battery capacity instead of 4000mAh.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus takes a little bit better videos and photos than Acer Iconia Tab A510, although it has a way less mega pixels back camera and a lower 1280x720 video quality.

Although Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Acer Iconia Tab A510, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Acer Iconia Tab A510. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and buy the Acer Iconia Tab A510, letting go a couple features and specifications.
