The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has a general score of 57.6, which is a bit better than Acer Iconia Tab A510's score of 55.4. Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD's body is noticeably newer, a lot thinner and incredibly lighter than Acer Iconia Tab A510. Both of these tablets include Android OS (Operating System), but the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has a newer 6.0 Marshmallow version and Acer Iconia Tab A510 has Android 4.0 version.
Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has a better display than Acer Iconia Tab A510, because although it has a really smaller screen, it also counts with a much higher pixels amount per inch in the screen and a lot higher resolution of 1200 x 1920 pixels. Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD counts with just a bit better processing power than Acer Iconia Tab A510, because it has a greater number of cores and a higher amount of RAM memory.
The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has a much better camera than Acer Iconia Tab A510, because it has a way better video resolution and a way more MP back-facing camera. Acer Iconia Tab A510 features slightly more storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, because although it has an external memory card slot that supports 96 GB smaller, it also counts with 32 GB internal memory.
The Acer Iconia Tab A510 features a much better battery performance than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, because it has 9800mAh of battery capacity against 5100mAh.
Although Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Acer Iconia Tab A510, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Acer Iconia Tab A510. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the Acer Iconia Tab A510, letting go a couple features and specifications.
