Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD Review

Score: 6.83/10

Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD is a mid level Android tablet device launched back in the year 2016, with a big 8 inches screen, a 1500 megahertz Octa-Core processor, and 2 cameras, an 8 MP back-facing camera and a 5 mega-pixels front-facing camera.

This tablet is equipped with a high performance 1.5 gigahertz Octa-Core CPU, bundled in a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 8952 chip with a huge 3 GB RAM memory. A good point of this tablet is the 16 GB quite big internal memory and an SD card slot, enough to install a couple hundred apps and games without any problem.

Although this tablet only has 8.26" long, it manages to hold a 8 inches display. Being just 0.31" thick, this device is incredibly thin and stilized. Verizon just sells the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD in 16 777 216 color. Verizon didn't seem to put much effort to reduce weight in this 11.99 oz tablet.

Verizon equipped this device with a good looking 8" display, and a 1200 x 1920 resolution, which makes all pictures and movies look colorful and brightful.

The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD is equipped with two cameras, an 8 megapixels back camera and a 5 mega-pixels front facing camera. It is also able to capture videos up to 1920x1080 (Full HD) at 30 frames per second.

This device has a 5100 mAh big capacity non-replaceable battery, enough to provide the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD with an amazing battery duration. An issue to take into consideration is that this tablet's battery is non-replaceable so you can't throw it away and buy a new one when it begins to get older, though with such a big battery you will probably buy a new tablet before that becomes a real problem.

This device counts with Wi-Fi connection (and it can share it with other devices around, acting as a mobile hotspot) and LTE 4G high speed data connection. The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD works with a Nano SIM card for GSM carriers.

The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD also includes a couple useful features like Bluetooth (4.1 ) and GPS (Global Positioning System), and a few sensors likeLight Sensor and Accelerometer.

This tablet costs about $ 250, expensive for this kind of tablet device. The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD is the right one it doesn't matter whether you want this device mostly for social networks and internet browsing or will use this tablet for gaming.
