Comparison review
Microsoft Surface RT is a bit better than the Acer Iconia Tab A700, getting a 58.4 score against 56.5. The Microsoft Surface RT counts with Windows RT OS, and Acer Iconia Tab A700 has Android 4.1 OS. Although Microsoft Surface RT and Acer Iconia Tab A700 were released only a couple of months apart, Microsoft Surface RT's design is thinner but a little heavier than Acer Iconia Tab A700.
The Microsoft Surface RT has a little bit better processing power than Acer Iconia Tab A700, and although they both have 4 CPU cores, the Microsoft Surface RT also has an additional graphics co-processor and 1 GB more RAM memory. Acer Iconia Tab A700 has a much better display than Microsoft Surface RT, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a much higher resolution of 1200 x 1920px and a much better amount of pixels per inch of display.
Acer Iconia Tab A700 captures much clearer photographs and videos than Microsoft Surface RT, because it has a back facing camera with much more mega-pixels. Microsoft Surface RT features a slightly bigger storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Acer Iconia Tab A700, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with 32 GB more internal storage.
The Acer Iconia Tab A700 has a very superior battery lifetime than Microsoft Surface RT.
Although Microsoft Surface RT is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Acer Iconia Tab A700, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Acer Iconia Tab A700. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can get the Acer Iconia Tab A700, giving up a couple features and specs, but you will get the most with your savings.
