Acer Iconia Tab A700 is a solid Android tablet launched some years ago, in 2012, which counts with a high-tech 1.3 gigahertz Quad-Core processing unit, a large 10.1" screen and a 5 mega-pixels back facing camera.
This device is sold in two color options, black and gray. This tablet is a bit heavy comparing to other tablets , with a weight of 23.46 oz. Whereas the Acer Iconia Tab A700 is thin it's not even close to being one of the thinnest tablets out there, with a thickness of 0.43". The Acer Iconia Tab A700 just has 10.2 inches long, but it manages to hold a 10.1 inches display.
Acer packed this tablet with a very good 10.1 inches screen, and a 1200 x 1920 resolution, which makes it hard to distinguish the pixels forming the screen.
Acer decided to design the Acer Iconia Tab A700 using a very fast 1300 megahertz Quad-Core CPU, packed into a NVIDIA Tegra 3 system chip with only 1 GB of RAM memory which is a bit disappointing for a tablet this good. A good point of the Acer Iconia Tab A700 is its 32 GB huge internal storage memory and an external memory slot, allowing you to install hundreds of apps and even the heaviest games available nowadays without worrying about how much memory is left.
This tablet counts with wifi connection (although it can't be provided to other devices around, acting as a router). The Acer Iconia Tab A700 doesn't use a SIM card, because it's not a GSM enabled tablet.
This tablet is only equipped with a 5 mega-pixels back-facing camera.
This tablet also features a handful of nice characteristics as Bluetooth (2.1, EDR) and GPS Localization, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.
The Acer Iconia Tab A700 uses a 9800 mAh incredible non-removable battery that can keep this tablet device running for many hours and even reach the end of the day without charging it at all. An issue to consider is that this tablet's battery isn't replaceable so you won't be able to replace it when it begins to lose its charge, although with such a great capacity you will probably discard this portable tablet before that becomes a real problem.
The Acer Iconia Tab A700 is priced 79 dollars, which is not a very good offer for this type of tablet. No matter whether you want a portable tablet to play games, need a work tablet or are looking for a social tablet, you will probably love this tablet.
