The Samsung Ativ Tab is better than Acer Iconia Tab A700, getting a score of 66.7 against 56.5. The Samsung Ativ Tab works with Windows RT OS, while Acer Iconia Tab A700 comes with Android 4.1 OS. Samsung Ativ Tab is a thinner and somewhat lighter tablet than Acer Iconia Tab A700, even when both were released only a couple months apart.
Samsung Ativ Tab has a bit better processing power than Acer Iconia Tab A700, because although it has a lower number of cores , it also counts with a graphics processor and 1 GB more RAM memory. Acer Iconia Tab A700 counts with a much better looking screen than Samsung Ativ Tab, and although they both have a same size screen, the Acer Iconia Tab A700 also has a much better 1200 x 1920 resolution and a better pixels number per display inch.
Samsung Ativ Tab shoots better pictures and videos than Acer Iconia Tab A700. Both have a same resolution back facing camera. Samsung Ativ Tab features a very superior storage capacity for games and applications than Acer Iconia Tab A700, and although they both have an external memory card slot that holds a maximum of 64 GB, the Samsung Ativ Tab also has more internal storage capacity.
Acer Iconia Tab A700 has superior battery performance than Samsung Ativ Tab, because it has 9800mAh of battery capacity instead of 8200mAh.
Although Samsung Ativ Tab is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Acer Iconia Tab A700, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Acer Iconia Tab A700. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Samsung Ativ Tab, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the Acer Iconia Tab A700, resigning some specs and features.
