Comparison review

The Sony Tablet S has a score of 57.5, which is a little bit better than the Acer Iconia Tab A700's 56.5 global score. These tablets come with Android OS (Operating System), but Sony Tablet S has older 4.0 version while Acer Iconia Tab A700 has Android 4.1. Although the Sony Tablet S and Acer Iconia Tab A700 were only released with a few months difference, the Sony Tablet S is a little thinner and lighter.

The Acer Iconia Tab A700 features a bit better hardware performance than Sony Tablet S, and although they both have a 1 GB RAM, the Acer Iconia Tab A700 also has a larger number of cores. Acer Iconia Tab A700 counts with a brighter display than Sony Tablet S, because it has a little bigger display, a higher pixels density and a lot higher 1200 x 1920 resolution.

Sony Tablet S features a lot better camera than Acer Iconia Tab A700. Both of them have a 5 mega-pixels camera in the back. Acer Iconia Tab A700 features a bit bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Sony Tablet S, and although they both have equal 32 GB internal storage capacity, the Acer Iconia Tab A700 also has a SD memory slot that supports a maximum of 64 GB.

Although Sony Tablet S is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Acer Iconia Tab A700, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Acer Iconia Tab A700. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Sony Tablet S, but if you don't you can save some dollars and buy the Acer Iconia Tab A700, letting go some specifications.
