Comparison review

The Xperia Tablet S is a bit better than Acer Iconia Tab A700, getting a 58.9 score against 56.5. Even though Xperia Tablet S and the Acer Iconia Tab A700 were released only a couple of months apart, the Xperia Tablet S body is just a bit thicker but somewhat lighter than the Acer Iconia Tab A700. These devices come with Android OS (operating system), but Xperia Tablet S has the newer 4.1.1 version and Acer Iconia Tab A700 has Android 4.1 version, counting with some extra features and increased performance.

The Sony Xperia Tablet S features a little better performance than Acer Iconia Tab A700, and although they both have the same number of cores and 1 GB of RAM memory, the Sony Xperia Tablet S also has a graphics co-processor. Acer Iconia Tab A700 features a little more vivid screen than Xperia Tablet S, because it has a greater pixel density, a much better resolution of 1200 x 1920 and a little bit bigger screen.

The Xperia Tablet S counts with just a bit better camera than Acer Iconia Tab A700, because it has a way more mega-pixels camera in the back. The Xperia Tablet S counts with much more memory capacity for games and applications than Acer Iconia Tab A700, because it has more internal memory and a SD card slot that holds up to 128 GB.

The Acer Iconia Tab A700 features a way better battery performance than Xperia Tablet S.

Although Sony Xperia Tablet S is a better device, it costs a lot more than Acer Iconia Tab A700, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Acer Iconia Tab A700. If you want to save a few dollars, you can buy the Acer Iconia Tab A700, letting go a few features and specifications, but you will get the most out of your budget.
