Comparison review
Sony Xperia Tablet Z has a score of 68.5, which is a lot better than the Acer Iconia Tab A700's 56.5 general score. Sony Xperia Tablet Z's construction is newer, notably thinner and notably lighter than Acer Iconia Tab A700. Both of these devices include Android OS, but the Sony Xperia Tablet Z has 4.4.4 version while Acer Iconia Tab A700 has Android 4.1 version, so it gives a couple nice extra features and increased performance.
The Xperia Tablet Z counts with a little bit better screen than Acer Iconia Tab A700. Both have a higher pixels quantity per inch of screen, a same size display and the same exact 1200 x 1920px resolution. The Xperia Tablet Z has just a bit better hardware performance than Acer Iconia Tab A700, and although they both have a Quad-Core processor, the Xperia Tablet Z also has 1 GB more RAM and an additional graphics processing unit.
The Sony Xperia Tablet Z features as much storage capacity for applications and games as Acer Iconia Tab A700, both of them have a slot for an external memory card that admits up to 64 GB and the same internal memory. Sony Xperia Tablet Z features a greater camera than Acer Iconia Tab A700, because it has a back facing camera with a much higher resolution.
The Acer Iconia Tab A700 has a really longer battery duration than Xperia Tablet Z, because it has 9800mAh of battery capacity instead of 6000mAh.
Although Sony Xperia Tablet Z is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Acer Iconia Tab A700, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Acer Iconia Tab A700. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can get the Acer Iconia Tab A700, and give up a few features and specs, but you will get the most with your money.
