The HTC Flyer is just a bit better than Acer Iconia W3, having a 58.7 score against 57.3. The HTC Flyer construction is lighter but noticeably thicker than the Acer Iconia W3. HTC Flyer comes with Android 3.2 OS, while Acer Iconia W3 comes with Windows 8 Pro OS. Acer Iconia W3 counts with a bit superior processing unit than HTC Flyer, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics co-processor, it also counts with a larger amount of RAM memory and a greater number of cores.
The Acer Iconia W3 features a much better screen than HTC Flyer, because it has a higher resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels, a just a little more pixels per screen inch and a larger display. The Acer Iconia W3 features a little bit more memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than HTC Flyer, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 32 GB more internal storage capacity.
The HTC Flyer captures a lot better videos and photos than Acer Iconia W3, because it has a back facing camera with lot more megapixels. HTC Flyer counts with improved battery duration than Acer Iconia W3, because it has a 4000mAh battery size.
Although HTC Flyer is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Acer Iconia W3, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Acer Iconia W3. So if you want that extra features, you can buy HTC Flyer, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the Acer Iconia W3, giving up some features and specifications.
