The Acer Iconia W4 has a global score of 59.3, which is a little bit better than Asus VivoTab Smart's general score of 58.7. These devices work with Windows OS (Operating System), but the Acer Iconia W4 has the newer 8.1 version while Asus VivoTab Smart has Windows 8. The Acer Iconia W4 body is much lighter but a little thicker than Asus VivoTab Smart.
Acer Iconia W4 counts with a sharper display than Asus VivoTab Smart, because although it has a little worse 800 x 1280px resolution and a lot smaller screen, it also counts with a quite greater amount of pixels in each screen inch. The Asus VivoTab Smart features a bit faster processing unit than Acer Iconia W4, because although it has a lower number of cores (but faster), and they both have the same RAM memory amount, the Asus VivoTab Smart also counts with an additional graphics processor.
The Asus VivoTab Smart and Acer Iconia W4 count with really similar storage capacity for applications and games, and although the Asus VivoTab Smart has no external memory slot, they both have exactly the same 64 GB internal memory capacity. Acer Iconia W4 counts with a superior battery life than Asus VivoTab Smart.
The Asus VivoTab Smart shoots a bit better videos and photos than Acer Iconia W4, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same (Full HD) video resolution, the Asus VivoTab Smart also has a lot better 8 MP resolution camera in the back.
Although Acer Iconia W4 is a better device, it costs more money than the Asus VivoTab Smart, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Asus VivoTab Smart. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy Acer Iconia W4, otherwise you can save some money and get the Asus VivoTab Smart, resigning some specs and features.
