Acer Iconia W4's construction is heavier and notably thicker than the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD. Acer Iconia W4 has Windows 8.1 operating system, and Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system.

So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Acer Iconia W4, else you can save a couple dollars and get the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, letting go a couple features and specifications.
