Comparison review
Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has a global score of 72.2, which is a lot better than Acer Iconia W510's 57.5 overall score. The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is a newer portable tablet than Acer Iconia W510, but it is a little bit thicker and much heavier. Both devices in this review use Windows OS, but Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has 8.1 Pro version while Acer Iconia W510 has Windows 8.
The Acer Iconia W510 features just a little better performance than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, and they both have 2 processing cores, the Acer Iconia W510 also counts with a graphics processor. Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has a sharper display than Acer Iconia W510, because it has a bigger screen, a higher pixel quantity in each inch in the display and a lot higher 1440 x 2160 resolution.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 features a very superior memory capacity for apps and games than Acer Iconia W510, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with more internal memory. Acer Iconia W510 has a slightly better camera than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same video definition, the Acer Iconia W510 also has a back-facing camera with a lot better resolution.
Acer Iconia W510 has a much better battery performance than Microsoft Surface Pro 3.
Although Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Acer Iconia W510, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Acer Iconia W510. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Microsoft Surface Pro 3, else you can save some money and get the Acer Iconia W510, letting go a couple features and specifications.
