Comparison review
The Microsoft Surface RT has a score of 58.4, which is just a bit better than Acer Iconia W510's 57.5 global score. Even though Microsoft Surface RT is better than the Acer Iconia W510, we must highlight that it's also a heavier and just a little thicker tablet. These devices work with Windows operating system, but the Microsoft Surface RT has the newer RT version while Acer Iconia W510 has Windows 8.
The Microsoft Surface RT has a little faster processing unit than Acer Iconia W510, because although it has a worse graphics co-processor, and they both have the same RAM memory amount, the Microsoft Surface RT also counts with a larger number of cores. Microsoft Surface RT and Acer Iconia W510 count with incredibly similar displays, because although the Microsoft Surface RT has a little lower pixel count per inch in the screen, and they both have an equal resolution of 768 x 1366 pixels, it also counts with a bit larger screen.
Microsoft Surface RT counts with a little bit better memory to install games and applications than Acer Iconia W510, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage. The Acer Iconia W510 features a much better battery lifetime than Microsoft Surface RT.
The Acer Iconia W510 features a much better camera than Microsoft Surface RT, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 video quality and the same video frame rates, the Acer Iconia W510 also has a back camera with way more MP.
Although Microsoft Surface RT is a better device, it costs more money than the Acer Iconia W510, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Acer Iconia W510. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Microsoft Surface RT, but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the Acer Iconia W510, letting go some specifications.
