Comparison review
The Xperia Tablet S has a general score of 58.9, which is just a bit better than Acer Iconia W510's 57.5 global score. Xperia Tablet S has Android 4.1.1 operating system, while Acer Iconia W510 counts with Windows 8 operating system. Even though Xperia Tablet S is a better tablet than Acer Iconia W510, it must be noted that it is also a just a little heavier and a lot thicker tablet.
The Acer Iconia W510 has just a bit better processing power than Xperia Tablet S, because although it has lesser cpu cores (but faster), it also counts with a larger amount of RAM memory and a better 533 MHz GPU. Xperia Tablet S features a little sharper screen than Acer Iconia W510, because although it has a little worse 800 x 1280 pixels resolution and a quite smaller display, it also counts with a just a little more pixels per inch in the display.
Acer Iconia W510 shoots a little bit better photographs and videos than Xperia Tablet S. Both of them have a back-facing camera with an 8 mega-pixels resolution. Sony Xperia Tablet S counts with a way bigger memory to store more games and applications than Acer Iconia W510, because it has a SD memory slot that holds a maximum of 128 GB and more internal storage capacity.
Acer Iconia W510 has a very superior battery performance than Xperia Tablet S.
Although Xperia Tablet S is a better device, it is way more expensive than Acer Iconia W510, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Acer Iconia W510. If you want to save a few dollars, you can get Acer Iconia W510, giving up a few features and specifications, but you will get the most with your money.
