Microsoft Surface 3 is better than the Acer Iconia W511, having a general score of 66.3 against 59.5. The Microsoft Surface 3 design is just a little bit heavier but just a bit thinner than the Acer Iconia W511. Acer Iconia W511 counts with a bit better screen than Microsoft Surface 3, although it has a much worse display density, a little smaller screen and a lot worse resolution of 768 x 1366.
The Microsoft Surface 3 has a slightly better memory capacity to install applications and games than Acer Iconia W511, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with 64 GB more internal storage. Microsoft Surface 3 has a little bit better performance than Acer Iconia W511, because it has more CPU cores and more RAM.
Acer Iconia W511 features a much longer battery life than Microsoft Surface 3. Microsoft Surface 3 shoots a bit better pictures and videos than Acer Iconia W511. Both of them have a camera in the back with an 8 mega pixels resolution.
