Comparison review
The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has a general score of 72.2, which is way better than Acer Iconia W511's 59.5 global score. These devices include Windows OS (operating system), but the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has 8.1 Pro version and Acer Iconia W511 has Windows 8 Pro, so it provides lots of additional features. Despite being the best in this comparison, Microsoft Surface Pro 3's design is much heavier and a little thicker than Acer Iconia W511.
Microsoft Surface Pro 3 features a little better hardware performance than Acer Iconia W511, and although they both have a Dual-Core CPU, the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 also has a greater amount of RAM. The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has a little sharper display than Acer Iconia W511, because it has a lot better resolution of 1440 x 2160 pixels, a larger display and a higher display density.
Acer Iconia W511 takes just a bit better pictures and videos than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, because it has a back-facing camera with a much higher resolution. Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has a much bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Acer Iconia W511, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 512 GB internal memory capacity.
The Acer Iconia W511 has a very superior battery performance than Microsoft Surface Pro 3.
Although Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Acer Iconia W511, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Acer Iconia W511. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy Microsoft Surface Pro 3, else you can save some dollars and buy the Acer Iconia W511, letting go some features and specs.
