These devices use Android OS (Operating System), but Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 has the previous 4.0 version and Acer Predator 8 has Android 5.1 Lollipop version. Despite being the best in this review, it must be noted that it's also a much older, a little bit thicker and just a little heavier tablet.

Acer Predator 8 features a lot bigger storage capacity to install applications and games than Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2, and although they both have exactly the same 32 GB internal storage capacity, the Acer Predator 8 also has a SD memory slot that holds a maximum of 128 GB.

Acer Predator 8 features a bit faster processing unit than Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics processing unit, it also counts with a higher amount of RAM and a greater number of cores (and they are faster). Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 takes much clearer photos and videos than Acer Predator 8. Both have the same resolution back camera.

Acer Predator 8 features a little longer battery duration than Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2, because it has a 4420mAh battery capacity.

Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 is a little more expensive than Acer Predator 8, but you can get a better tablet for that few extra dollars.
