Comparison review

The Acer Predator 8 is just a bit better than the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, with a general score of 57.7 against 57.6. Both tablets we are comparing here have Android OS (Operating System), but the Acer Predator 8 has older 5.1 Lollipop version and Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Even being the best portable tablet in this comparison, the Acer Predator 8 is an older, a little bit heavier and just a little bit thicker portable tablet than the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD.

Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD features a bit sharper screen than Acer Predator 8. They have a same size screen, exactly the same 1200 x 1920 resolution and a higher pixel quantity per inch of display. The Acer Predator 8 has a much bigger memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, and although they both have an external memory card slot that admits a maximum of 128 GB, the Acer Predator 8 also has 32 GB internal storage capacity.

The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD features just a bit better processing power than Acer Predator 8, because it has more processing cores (but slower) and a larger amount of RAM. Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD features a much better camera than Acer Predator 8, because it has a back camera with way more MP. The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD features a little longer battery duration than Acer Predator 8, because it has a 15 percent larger battery capacity.

Although Acer Predator 8 is a better device, it is more expensive than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD. If you are trying to save some money, you can get Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, and give up a couple features and specs, but you'll get the most with your money.
