The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is a little bit better than the Alcatel JOY TAB 2, getting a general score of 62.7 against 62.5. Both of these tablets include Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has the older 4.0 version while Alcatel JOY TAB 2 has Android 10 version. Despite being the best portable tablet in this comparison, it must be noted that it's also a older, thicker and incredibly heavier portable tablet.
Alcatel JOY TAB 2 has a little faster processing unit than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, because although it has doesn't have an additional GPU, it also counts with more cpu cores and a higher amount of RAM. Alcatel JOY TAB 2 and Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 have quite similar screens, because although the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has a just a little inferior pixel quantity in each display inch, and they both have the same resolution of 800 x 1280px, it also counts with a bigger screen.
Alcatel JOY TAB 2 features a greater camera than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, because it has a back facing camera with much more MP. Alcatel JOY TAB 2 has a lot bigger storage to install games and applications than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, because it has 32 GB internal memory capacity and a SD memory slot that supports up to 256 GB.
The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 counts with a really longer battery lifetime than Alcatel JOY TAB 2, because it has 7000mAh of battery capacity against 4080mAh.
Although Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Alcatel JOY TAB 2, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Alcatel JOY TAB 2. So if you want that extra features, you can buy the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, else you can save a couple dollars and buy the Alcatel JOY TAB 2, giving up a couple features and specs.
