The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has an overall score of 66.2, which is slightly better than Alcatel JOY TAB 2's global score of 62.5. Even though the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 is much older and a bit heavier than the Alcatel JOY TAB 2, it's construction is still a little thinner. Both tablets in this comparison review come with Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has the newer 4.4.2 version and Alcatel JOY TAB 2 has Android 10, so it provides some additional features and performance optimizations.
Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 features a much better looking display than Alcatel JOY TAB 2. They have an equal resolution of 1280 x 800, a same size screen and the same pixel density. The Alcatel JOY TAB 2 counts with a bit more powerful CPU than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics co-processor, and they both have the same number of cores, the Alcatel JOY TAB 2 also counts with a larger amount of RAM.
Alcatel JOY TAB 2 shoots better videos and photos than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because it has a much more mega-pixels back camera and a much better 1920x1080 video resolution. The Alcatel JOY TAB 2 counts with a much bigger memory to install games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because it has 32 GB internal memory capacity and a SD card slot that admits up to 256 GB.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has a bit better battery performance than Alcatel JOY TAB 2, because it has a 9% greater battery size.
The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 costs a little more than Alcatel JOY TAB 2, but it's still a great deal, because you can get a much better tablet for that extra money.
