The Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 is slightly better than the Alcatel JOY TAB, with a score of 62.6 against 59.4. Both of these tablets come with Android OS (Operating System), but the Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 has the older 4.0 version while Alcatel JOY TAB has Android 9.0 Pie. Although Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 is a better portable tablet than the Alcatel JOY TAB, it must be noted that it's also a noticeably older, just a little thicker and noticeably heavier portable tablet.

The Alcatel JOY TAB features a little bit better hardware performance than Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2, because although it has doesn't have a graphics co-processor, it also counts with a greater number of cores and more RAM. The Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 has a more vivid display than Alcatel JOY TAB, because although it has a little bit lower pixels count in each display inch, and they both have the same resolution of 800 x 1280px, the Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 also counts with a little larger display.

Alcatel JOY TAB has a much greater storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2, and although they both have equal internal memory capacity, the Alcatel JOY TAB also has a SD card slot that admits a maximum of 128 GB. The Alcatel JOY TAB and the Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2 count with quite similar cameras, both have the same 1280x720 video quality, a same resolution camera and the same video frame rate.

The Alcatel JOY TAB features a bit longer battery lifetime than Motorola Droid XYBoard 8.2, because it has a 4080mAh battery size.
