The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) is better than Alcatel JOY TAB, with a overall score of 68.3 against 59.4. Both tablets we are comparing here come with Android OS, but the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) has an older 8.1 Oreo version and Alcatel JOY TAB has Android 9.0 Pie. Even being the best tablet in this review, the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) is an older, just a bit thicker and somewhat heavier tablet than the Alcatel JOY TAB.
Alcatel JOY TAB has just a little better performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018). Both of them have a 2 GB RAM and the same number of cores. Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) has a display that's very similar to the display in Alcatel JOY TAB, both of them have the same pixel density, a display with the same size and the same resolution of 800 x 1280.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) counts with a better memory capacity for apps and games than Alcatel JOY TAB, and although they both have equal 32 GB internal storage, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) also has an external SD slot that holds a maximum of 400 GB. Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) has improved battery performance than Alcatel JOY TAB, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity against 4080mAh.
