Comparison review
Alcatel JOY TAB is just a bit better than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, having a 59.4 score against 57.6. The Alcatel JOY TAB body is noticeably newer and somewhat lighter, but also a little bit thicker than the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD. Both tablets in this review work with Android operating system, but Alcatel JOY TAB has a newer 9.0 Pie version and Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has Android 6.0 Marshmallow version.
The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD counts with a more vivid display than Alcatel JOY TAB, and although they both have a same size screen, the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD also has a higher pixels density and a lot higher 1200 x 1920 pixels resolution. Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has a little bit better processing power than Alcatel JOY TAB, because it has a higher amount of RAM memory and more processing cores.
The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD shoots much better pictures and videos than Alcatel JOY TAB, because it has a way higher 8 megapixels resolution back camera and a way higher 1920x1080 video quality. Alcatel JOY TAB counts with a way bigger storage for applications and games than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, and although they both have an external memory card slot that admits up to 128 GB, the Alcatel JOY TAB also has more internal storage.
The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD counts with superior battery life than Alcatel JOY TAB, because it has a 5100mAh battery size against 4080mAh.
