Comparison review
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is just a bit better than the Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8, having a general score of 67.9 against 62.3. Both devices in our current comparison include the same Android 4.4 OS (operating system), so both should give all the same OS features. Even being the best we compare here, the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 body is heavier and just a little thicker than Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8.
Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has just a bit better screen than Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8, because it has a better 1600 x 2560px resolution, a just a little better screen density and a quite larger screen. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a lot bigger memory for games and applications than Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 48 GB more internal memory capacity.
Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 counts with a bit faster CPU than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, and although they both have the same RAM memory amount, the Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 also has a larger number of cores (but slower) and an additional graphics co-processor. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a better camera than Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8, because it has a camera in the back with a way better 8 MP resolution.
The Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 features a really longer battery lifetime than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9.
Although Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8. If you want to save a few dollars, you can buy Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8, giving up a couple features, but you'll get the most with your budget.
