Comparison review
Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 has an overall score of 62.3, which is a little bit better than Huawei MediaPad M1's general score of 61.5. Both devices we compare here use Android operating system, but Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 has the newer 4.4 version and Huawei MediaPad M1 has Android 4.2.2, so it gives a couple nice extra features. The Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 is a just a little lighter and just a bit thinner portable tablet than Huawei MediaPad M1.
Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 features a brighter display than Huawei MediaPad M1, and although they both have a screen with the same size, the Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 also has a much higher resolution of 1920 x 1200 and a better pixels density. Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 features a greater performance than Huawei MediaPad M1, because it has a greater number of faster cores, an additional GPU and more RAM.
Huawei MediaPad M1 counts with a little bit more storage to install applications and games than Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8, although it has only 8 GB internal storage capacity. Huawei MediaPad M1 has greater battery life than Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8, because it has an 18% bigger battery capacity. Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 features a little bit better camera than Huawei MediaPad M1. Both of them have a same resolution back facing camera.
Although Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Huawei MediaPad M1, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Huawei MediaPad M1. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8, otherwise you can save some dollars and get the Huawei MediaPad M1, resigning a couple specifications.
