Comparison review

The Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 has an overall score of 62.3, which is just a bit better than Microsoft Surface RT's score of 58.4. The Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 construction is a lot lighter and incredibly thinner than the Microsoft Surface RT. The Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 comes with Android 4.4 OS, and Microsoft Surface RT comes with Windows RT OS.

The Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 features just a little better performance than Microsoft Surface RT, and although they both have the same RAM amount, the Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 also has a much better graphics processor running at 700 MHz and a higher number of cores (and they are faster). Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 counts with an incredibly better display than Microsoft Surface RT, because although it has a much smaller screen, it also counts with a way better pixel amount per display inch and a way better 1920 x 1200 resolution.

Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 takes greater photos and videos than Microsoft Surface RT, because it has a back camera with a much higher resolution. Microsoft Surface RT counts with a way bigger memory to install applications and games than Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 48 GB more internal storage capacity.

Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 has a much longer battery duration than Microsoft Surface RT.

Although Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Microsoft Surface RT, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Microsoft Surface RT. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can get the Microsoft Surface RT, letting go a few features and specifications, but you will get the most out of your savings.
