Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) is much better than Alcatel OneTouch Tab 7 HD, getting a 65.7 score against 53.4. Both of these tablets use Android OS, but the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) has a newer 9.0 Pie version while Alcatel OneTouch Tab 7 HD has Android 4.1 version, providing some additional features and performance improvements. Even though Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) is a bit heavier than the Alcatel OneTouch Tab 7 HD, it's just a little bit thinner and also noticeably newer.

The Alcatel OneTouch Tab 7 HD has a brighter display than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017), because although it has a little bit smaller display, and they both have the same exact resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels, the Alcatel OneTouch Tab 7 HD also counts with a just a little more pixels per inch in the display.
