The Galaxy Tab 10.1 has a global score of 58.1, which is just a bit better than the Alcatel OneTouch Tab 8 HD's score of 53.4. The Galaxy Tab 10.1 is an older and heavier tablet device than the Alcatel OneTouch Tab 8 HD, but Samsung managed to build it just a bit thinner anyway. These devices have Android operating system, but the Galaxy Tab 10.1 has an older 4.0.4 version and Alcatel OneTouch Tab 8 HD has Android 4.1 version.
Alcatel OneTouch Tab 8 HD counts with a quite superior processing power than Galaxy Tab 10.1, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Alcatel OneTouch Tab 8 HD also has an extra graphics processor. Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 has a slightly better display than Alcatel OneTouch Tab 8 HD, because although it has a quite worse pixel density, it also counts with a lot bigger display and a quite better 800 x 1280 resolution.
The Galaxy Tab 10.1 features a way better camera than Alcatel OneTouch Tab 8 HD, because it has a way more mega pixels back-facing camera. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 features a superior storage capacity for apps and games than Alcatel OneTouch Tab 8 HD, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with 32 GB internal memory.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 has a much longer battery life than Alcatel OneTouch Tab 8 HD, because it has a 64% more battery capacity.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 costs a lot more money than the Alcatel OneTouch Tab 8 HD, but it's still a good choice, because you can get a better tablet for that extra money.
