Alcatel OneTouch Tab 8 HD is a decently made tablet launched many years ago, which counts with a pretty big 7" multi-touch display, an extremely powerful Dual-Core processing unit clocking at 1600 MHz, a 2 mega-pixels back facing camera and a 0.3 MP front-facing camera.
The Alcatel OneTouch Tab 8 HD is incredibly slim and practical, with a thickness of just 0.37". The Alcatel OneTouch Tab 8 HD isn't very light comparing with today standards, with a weight of 15.87 oz.
Alcatel decided to build this tablet with an extremely powerful 1600 MHz Dual-Core processor, included in a Rockchip RK3066 chip and only 1 GB RAM memory which is a bit disappointing comparing with the Alcatel OneTouch Tab 8 HD's impressive CPU. Helping with graphic intensive tasks, this tablet also uses a 266 megahertz ARM Mali-400 MP4 GPU. A good advantage of this device is its 8 GB quite large internal storage and an external memory slot, allowing the user to install a couple hundred applications and games without any trouble.
This tablet has two cameras, a 2 megapixels back-facing camera and a 0.3 mega-pixels front side camera.
Alcatel equipped this tablet with a nice 7" screen, and a resolution of 768 x 1024 , giving this tablet device an average image quality. This screen uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch for gestures like pinch and zoom.
The Alcatel OneTouch Tab 8 HD counts with wifi capability (although it can't be shared with other devices acting as a hotspot). This tablet doesn't use a sim card, because it doesn't work with GSM services.
The Alcatel OneTouch Tab 8 HD also includes Bluetooth (allows communication with other bluetooth tablets, computers and accessories), and Accelerometer.
The Alcatel OneTouch Tab 8 HD comes with a 4150 mAh big Li-Ion non-replaceable battery that can keep this tablet device running for many hours and even reach the end of the day without charging it. An issue to consider is that this tablet's battery is not replaceable so you won't be able to replace it when it begins to last shorter, although with such a big battery you will probably replace this portable tablet before it becomes a real problem.
Alcatel offers this tablet for 249 dollars, which is a very high price for this type of tablet. In case will use it as a gamer tablet, this tablet is a good choice .
