Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has an overall score of 60.7, which is better than Alcatel OneTouch Tab 8 HD's general score of 53.4. The Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) is an older and a little bit thicker device than the Alcatel OneTouch Tab 8 HD, but Samsung could make it lighter anyway. Both tablets in this comparison review have the same Android 4.1 OS (operating system), so you shouldn't perceive any differences in that aspect.

Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) features a little bit better looking screen than Alcatel OneTouch Tab 8 HD, although it has a quite inferior pixel amount per inch of display and a little worse 600 x 1024 resolution, they both have a same size screen. The Alcatel OneTouch Tab 8 HD counts with a better hardware performance than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), and although they both have 2 cores and the same RAM amount, the Alcatel OneTouch Tab 8 HD also has an additional graphics processor.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) features a much bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Alcatel OneTouch Tab 8 HD, and although they both have a slot for SD memory cards that supports up to 32 GB, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) also has 24 GB more internal memory. Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) counts with a lot better camera than Alcatel OneTouch Tab 8 HD, because it has a lot better 3 MP resolution back camera.
