Comparison review

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) is much better than the Amazon Fire HD 6, having a score of 61.4 against 55. Both of these tablets include Android OS, but Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has 4.1 version and Amazon Fire HD 6 has Android 4.4. Although the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) is older and way heavier than the Amazon Fire HD 6, it's design is still just a little bit thinner.

The Amazon Fire HD 6 counts with a lot better display than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because although it has a really smaller display, and they both have an equal resolution of 1280 x 800px, the Amazon Fire HD 6 also counts with a lot higher number of pixels per inch in the display. Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) features a greater memory to store more games and applications than Amazon Fire HD 6, because although it has only 8 GB internal memory, it also counts with a slot for SD memory cards that allows up to 64 GB.

The Amazon Fire HD 6 counts with a bit superior processing unit than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), and although they both have a 1 GB RAM memory, the Amazon Fire HD 6 also has a greater number of cores. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has a really longer battery performance than Amazon Fire HD 6. Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) takes a lot better pictures and videos than Amazon Fire HD 6, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same (HD) video resolution, the Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) also has a way higher resolution back facing camera.

Although Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) is a better device, it costs a lot more than Amazon Fire HD 6, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Amazon Fire HD 6. If you want to save a few dollars, you can buy Amazon Fire HD 6, and give up a few specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
