Comparison review

Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has an overall score of 66.2, which is a lot better than the Amazon Fire HD 6's general score of 55. Both of these tablets use Android operating system, but Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has newer 4.4.2 version while Amazon Fire HD 6 has Android 4.4 version, providing you a couple nice extra features and performance tweaks. Although the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 and Amazon Fire HD 6 were released only 6 months apart, Galaxy Tab 4 8.0's construction is just a little heavier but also a lot thinner.

Galaxy Tab 4 8.0's processing unit is just as good as the Amazon Fire HD 6 one, and although the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has an additional GPU and more RAM memory, they both have a Quad-Core processing unit. Amazon Fire HD 6 features a slightly better display than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because although it has a much smaller display, and they both have the same 1280 x 800 resolution, the Amazon Fire HD 6 also counts with more pixels per inch of screen.

Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 takes way better photographs and videos than Amazon Fire HD 6, and although they both have the same 1280x720 (HD) video quality and the same video frame rates, the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 also has a back-facing camera with way more MP. The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 features a very superior storage to store more apps and games than Amazon Fire HD 6, and although they both have equal 16 GB internal storage capacity, the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 also has a slot for an SD memory card that holds a maximum of 64 GB.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has a much better battery lifetime than Amazon Fire HD 6.

Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 is more expensive than Amazon Fire HD 6, but you can get a much better tablet for that extra money.
