The Galaxy Tab 7.7 design is way thinner than Amazon Fire HD 6, although it's heavier and was released many years before.

Amazon Fire HD 6 counts with a bit better looking display than Galaxy Tab 7.7, because although it has a lot smaller screen, and they both have the same resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, the Amazon Fire HD 6 also counts with a better screen density. Amazon Fire HD 6 features a little bit better hardware performance than Galaxy Tab 7.7, because although it has doesn't have a GPU, and they both have 1 GB of RAM memory, the Amazon Fire HD 6 also counts with a higher number of cores.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 features a very superior battery life than Amazon Fire HD 6. Galaxy Tab 7.7 captures just a bit better pictures and videos than Amazon Fire HD 6, and although they both have the same (HD) video resolution and the same video frame rates, the Galaxy Tab 7.7 also has a lot higher 3 mega-pixels resolution camera in the back.

Although Galaxy Tab 7.7 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Amazon Fire HD 6, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Amazon Fire HD 6. If you are trying to save some money, you can get the Amazon Fire HD 6, and give up a few features and specs, but you'll get the most with your money.
