The Google Nexus 9 has a score of 74.5, which is a lot better than the Amazon Fire HD 7's overall score of 54.8. The Google Nexus 9 body is noticeably thinner but heavier than the Amazon Fire HD 7, and both of them were released with only 0 months difference. These tablets work with Android OS (Operating System), but the Google Nexus 9 has a more recent 5.0 version and Amazon Fire HD 7 has Android 4.4 version, so it counts with a couple nice extra features and performance enhancements.

Google Nexus 9 has a quite superior hardware performance than Amazon Fire HD 7, because although it has a lower number of cores (but faster), it also counts with 1 GB more RAM memory and a 64-bit processing unit.
