Amazon Fire HD 7 is a mid-end Android tablet launched in 2014, provisioned with a high-tech 1500 megahertz Quad-Core processor, a big 7 inches multi touch capacitive screen, and two cameras, a 2 MP back side camera and a 0.3 mega-pixels front-facing camera.
Amazon is offering the Amazon Fire HD 7 in a nice range of colors, black, pink, yellow, blue and white. Although the Amazon Fire HD 7 is quite thin and comfortable it's not as slim as many other portable tablets out there, with a thickness of 0.42". This device is quite a compact tablet, given that it presents a 7" screen and it has just 7.5 inches long and 5 inches wide. This time, it seems like Amazon decided not to care so much about the weight in this 11.89 ounces device.
This tablet comes with an exceptional Quad-Core processor speeding at 1.5 gigahertz and only 1 GB of RAM memory which is a bit disappointing comparing with its impressive processing power. An interesting aspect of this tablet is its 16 GB quite large internal storage and although it doesn't count with a slot for external memory cards, it should be enough to store hundreds of applications, although it might not be suitable if you are planning to install a couple of the heaviest games currently available.
Amazon packed this device with a very good 7 inches screen, and a 1280 x 800 resolution, which makes everything look vivid. Its screen uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and is multi-touch enabled.
This tablet features Wi-Fi connection (which can be provided to other devices around, as a mobile hotspot). This tablet doesn't have a sim card, because it doesn't work with GSM services.
This device is equipped with two cameras, a 2 mega-pixels back-facing camera and a 0.3 MP front camera. It also shoots videos up to 1920x1080 (Full HD).
