The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 is slightly better than the Amazon Fire HD 7, having a 60.1 score against 54.8. Both tablets we compare here have Android OS, but the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has newer 5.0 version while Amazon Fire HD 7 has Android 4.4 version. The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 construction is just a bit lighter and a lot thinner than the Amazon Fire HD 7, even when both of them were only released with a couple of months difference.
