Google Nexus 7 is a pretty good tablet device released back in the year 2012, which features a 7-inches capacitive screen, an extremely powerful Quad-Core processor ticking at 1.3 GHz and a 1.2 MP front-facing camera.
Apparently Google decided not to care so much about the weight in this 11.99 oz tablet. The Google Nexus 7 is very thin and comfortable, while it's not close to being one of the thinnest tablets in the market, with a thickness of 0.41 inches.
This device is equipped with a very good 800 x 1280 7-inches screen, providing this portable tablet with a very nice graphical experience. Its screen uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and can detect multiple fingers at the same time.
The Google Nexus 7 ships with a NVIDIA Tegra 3 T30L system chip, holding a very fast Quad-Core CPU running at 1300 megahertz and only 1 GB RAM which is a bit disappointing for a device this powerful. Handling graphic calculations, it also uses a 416 MHz ULP GeForce GPU. The Google Nexus 7 comes with a 32 GB amazing internal storage memory and although it doesn't include an SD card slot, it is still enough to install lots of apps, games, songs, pictures and videos without having to worry about how much storage is left.
This tablet includes wifi capability (although it can't provide it to other devices acting as a hotspot), HSPA+ 4G connectivity, which is not so fast as LTE networks and 3G fast connection type, over HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. The Google Nexus 7 works with a SIM card for GSM services.
This tablet only has a 1.2 MP front facing camera.
This tablet also features a great numbre of interesting characteristics as Wireless charging system, NFC (to trigger actions, transfer data or make payments by holding your portable tablet close to another NFC device or tag), Bluetooth (3.0) and GPS, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.
This tablet comes with a 4325 mAh huge Li-Polymer non-removable battery providing the Google Nexus 7 an impressive battery life. An issue to consider is that the Google Nexus 7's battery is non-removable so you can't change it when it starts to have trouble holding its charge, though having 4325 mAh you will probably buy a new tablet before it becomes a real problem.
Google sells this device for 110 dollars, which is quite a high price for this kind of portable tablet. If you need a tablet for work, want this portable tablet majorly for internet broswing and social networks or are looking for a tablet for gaming, you will definitely love this tablet.
