Google Nexus 7 is a good quality Android tablet device launched in June 2012, provisioned with a 1.2 MP front-facing camera, a pretty big 7" capacitive display and an extremely powerful 1300 MHz Quad-Core CPU.
The Google Nexus 7 ships with a high performance 1.3 GHz Quad-Core processing unit, included in a NVIDIA Tegra 3 T30L chip and only 1 GB of RAM memory which is a little bit low for a tablet of this quality. Graphic calculations usually consume lots of processor cycles, so this device has a ULP GeForce GPU speeding at 416 megahertz to take some work out of the CPU. This tablet comes with a huge 32 GB internal storage memory and while it doesn't have an SD card slot, it is still enough to install lots of apps, games, pictures and videos without even thinking about how much memory is left.
This device's thickness , 0.41", is a bit far from current standards, but it still feels right in the user's hand. The Google Nexus 7 isn't very light for a tablet of this size, weighting 12.24 oz.
This tablet is equipped with only a 1.2 MP front side camera.
The Google Nexus 7 includes a very good 7 inches screen with a 800 x 1280 resolution, making everything look vivid. This screen uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch for gestures like pinch and zoom.
This device comes with a 4325 mAh big Li-Polymer non-replaceable battery, enough to provide the Google Nexus 7 with a marvelous battery duration. An issue to evaluate is that this device's battery is not removable so you can't buy a new battery when it starts to last shorter, though with such a huge battery size you will probably discard this tablet before it becomes an issue.
The Google Nexus 7 offers Wi-Fi capability (but it can't share it with other devices around, acting as a mobile hotspot), 4G (HSPA+) connection type, that is not as fast as LTE or LTE-A 4G networks and the fastest 3G internet connection, over HSDPA, HSPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This tablet works with a SIM card for GSM services.
This tablet also includes lots of useful characteristics as Wireless charging compatibility, NFC, Bluetooth (allows communication with other tablets and accessories) and GPS, and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.
Google is selling this tablet for $ 269, which is a very high price for this kind of device. It doesn't matter whether you are looking for a tablet for gaming, will use it for work or want it mainly for internet broswing and social networks, you will definitely be very happy with this portable tablet.
