Asus Transformer Pad 300 Review

16 GB (TF300)     See other variants reviews Score: 53.4 / 100

Asus Transformer Pad 300 is a fair quality Android portable tablet released some years ago, in 2012, counting with a big size 10.1-inches display, a high performance Quad-Core processing unit speeding at 1200 megahertz and an 8 MP back facing camera.

This tablet is a bit heavy comparing to other tablets , weighting 22.4 oz. Asus offers this tablet in 3 different color options: blue, red and white. This tablet is extremely slim and practical, with a thickness of just 0.39 inches. The Asus Transformer Pad 300 only has 10.35" long and 7.12 inches wide, but it's still able to fit a a 10.1" display.

Asus decided to design the Asus Transformer Pad 300 using a NVIDIA Tegra 3 T30L system chip, including a great Quad-Core processor ticking at 1200 MHz and only 1 GB of RAM which is a little bit poor for a tablet this good. Graphic calculations often eats lots of CPU processing time, so it also has an extra 416 MHz ULP GeForce GPU to take some work out of the processor. A good advantage of the Asus Transformer Pad 300 is its big 16 GB internal storage and an SD memory card expansion slot, enough to store hundreds of games and apps without any trouble.

This tablet is equipped with only an 8 mega-pixels back facing camera. The Asus Transformer Pad 300 also films Full HD 1920x1080 videos. Additionally, the camera counts with geo tagging and auto-focus.

Asus packed this tablet with a nice 10.1" screen, and a 800 x 1280 resolution, which makes all photos and videos look quite good. This screen uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and can detect multi touch gestures.

The Asus Transformer Pad 300 counts with WiFi capability (but it can't provide it to other devices around, acting as a mobile hotspot). This device doesn't use a sim card, because it doesn't support GSM networks.

This device also features a few nice features as Bluetooth (enables communication with other bluetooth devices, computers, and accessories) and GPS Localization, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.

Asus sells the Asus Transformer Pad 300 for 200 dollars, which is not a really offer for this type of tablet.
