Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has a global score of 59.5, which is a little bit better than the Amazon Fire HD 7's global score of 54.8. Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) is a notably older and a little heavier tablet than Amazon Fire HD 7, but Samsung made it a little thinner anyway. Both devices in this comparison review have Android OS, but the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has the previous 4.1 version while Amazon Fire HD 7 has Android 4.4 version.

The Amazon Fire HD 7 features a bit better processing unit than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), and although they both have 1 GB of RAM, the Amazon Fire HD 7 also has 2 more cpu cores. The Amazon Fire HD 7 features a bit sharper screen than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), and although they both have a same size screen, the Amazon Fire HD 7 also has a better pixel number per inch of display and a better 1280 x 800 resolution.

Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has a very superior camera than Amazon Fire HD 7, and although they both have the same 1280x720 (HD) video resolution and the same video frame rates, the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) also has a camera with a much better 3 mega-pixels resolution. Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has a lot bigger storage capacity for apps and games than Amazon Fire HD 7, and although they both have equal 16 GB internal storage, the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) also has a slot for external memory cards that allows a maximum of 32 GB.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) features a superior battery performance than Amazon Fire HD 7.

Despite of being the best tablet of the ones we are comparing, Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) is also cheaper than the Amazon Fire HD 7.
