Both tablets we are comparing here include Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) has the older 4.1 version while Amazon Fire HD 7 has Android 4.4 version. Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) is a older and noticeably heavier portable tablet than the Amazon Fire HD 7, but Samsung made it a little bit thinner anyway.
